On January 27, 2025, V94 Ventures and Swedish Rebuild Partners met with representatives from the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine (CBU). During the meeting, Oleksandr Chervak, Executive Director of CBU, discussed the prospects of applying Swedish expertise in Ukraine's reconstruction processes.
V94 Ventures' activities focus on preparing and training workers for the construction industry, which is particularly important as Ukraine faces a significant shortage of specialists. Many war veterans need upskilling or retraining. V94 Ventures' training program aims to ensure quality personnel preparation for work in the construction sector.
The training will include both theoretical preparation and practical training at construction industry enterprises. The program is financed through grants and support from the Swedish Government.
The Swedish side places particular emphasis on training veterans returning from the frontlines. Additionally, construction companies wanting to invest in specialist development and create long-term employment opportunities will be involved, as well as government bodies in Ukraine and internationally that plan to participate in the reconstruction. The program envisions close cooperation with higher education and vocational training institutions in the construction field.
These discussions constitute a first step in exploring how V94, together with Ukrainian partners, can best contribute to supporting the reconstruction and war veterans.
